This concept involved more experimentation, as I had solely done vertical stationery prior, and the illustration started as just the black linework originally (which I’ve featured in other designs, if that’s more your style). I only had a handful of Flair Pens on me at the time, but it was good for me to skip the pickiness of perfect shades and just work with what I had available.
